The Rutland Hotel and Apartments Title
The Rutland is a bespoke and luxurious city centred, 12 bedroomed boutique hotel with five star luxury apartments and is comfortably situated in the heart of Edinburgh. Our location offers fantastic access to all city attractions and transport links as well as Edinburgh’s best shopping areas and nightlife scenes.
Our bedrooms were freshly renovated in January and our latest addition of apartments were opened in August 2016. We are constantly looking at new ideas to develop and improve our concept at The Rutland hotel and we are always seeking innovative ideas to ensure our guests have the best experience possible. Heads & Tales
The Home of Edinburgh Gin where guests can enjoy gin tours through the day and see how gin is made. In the evening we take the space over and offer an exclusive gin emporium and cocktail bar, where better to enjoy a gin cocktails whilst watching it being made in the very same room. Heads & Tales is available for exclusive use for up to 100 guests and we also have smaller areas for groups of 8-25, it’s the perfect venue for all sociable occasion.

Kyloe Restaurant & Grill
Our award winning gourmet steak restaurant, showcasing the best of Scotland’s produce including world renowned Aberdeen Angus beef. Kyloe has stunning views of Edinburgh Castle and along the busiest street in town. Residents of The Rutland Hotel are entitled to a 20% discount off food in Kyloe. We also have an opulent private dining space holding between 10-16 guests which is perfect for groups and VIP’s.
The Huxley
Where residents enjoy breakfast, a sit back relaxed type of bar where you can watch the world go by. Perfect for drinks and bites any time of the day whilst soaking up the Edinburgh atmosphere.

Badger & Co
The former home of Kenneth Graeme who wrote Wind In The Willows, we have turned this once office into a play den for all! We have an amazing Private Dining room which seats 8-12 guests or up to 25 standing. Our bar area also has a section for up to 25 people standing, this area is great for drinks and nibbles only as it is not private. Good for more relaxed events where fun is the name of the game. It’s a special and trendy bar in Edinburgh which is popular with both tourists and locals.

Element
A city centre venue with a strong nod to Scottish cuisine, our menu changes seasonally and is specially created by our head chef Viktor. The bar is warm and cosy with a relaxed atmosphere. We have a snug area available which offers a more secluded experience and holds up to 6 people.

Basement
The Basement is our only Mexican styled restaurant, it’s very hip and laid back with guacamole made fresh at your table and a tequila collection that will make your eyes water. We have a curtain separated area for up to 10 people seated which can be used for any groups looking for something a little secluded.

Queens Arms
The Queens Arms it a traditional style pub, yet it is modern within with a fantastic food selection. It’s great for sharing pies and roasts throughout the weekend and a great place to watch sport! We have a raised area that’s available for up to 30 people standing and 18 seated, this is still part of bar just in its own area. It’s also a very laid back venue but a popular spot for all.

Black Bull
Located in The Grassmarket below the castle this is a fantastic area for groups! The area at the back can cater for around 70 people, we can offer set menus and buffets. It’s fantastic on sport days and at the weekends with the atmosphere of the Grassmarket oozing throughout the unit. Very popular with tourists.

The Spiritualist
The Spiritualist is a very classy and glam venue that has a great atmosphere and is ideal for that trip that is a little more special. It’s located in the heart of Glasgow and is quite a new addition to our portfolio.

The Smokin’ Fox
A great venue, again right in the centre of Glasgow just right next door to Central Station. The Smokin’ Fox offers home comfort food and local drinks. It has a den area which can hold up to 25 people, again it’s part of the main bar but still its own area. Great for corporate and drinks receptions as well as group bookings for lunch and dinner.

The Raven
The Raven is a locals favourite in Glasgow, it offers a smoked menu that the chefs have created from scratch with lots of passion. It’s the ideal venue for tour groups who are looking for something a little bit different but full of quality. There is a private area available for hire upstairs with its own private bar, we call it the nest.

St Andrews
The West Port
The West Port is our only unit north of Edinburgh and what a fantastic one it is. Hosting 4 bedrooms of a 3 star status, it is located in the heart of St. Andrews and offers local produce throughout their menu. Again, there is a snug area downstairs which is laid back with sofas and tables and can hold up to 40 people standing. The West Port also has a restaurant area and massive garden area, all open to discussing hire. Great venue for any golf or tour packages.
